Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved with the ¹û¶³Æƽâ°æ Alumni Association (¹û¶³Æƽâ°æAA). Start by updating your contact information to ensure you receive alumni news. Then consider:

Join the alumni engagement or advisory committee

The Alumni Advisory Council is a select group of 10-12 alumni business and community leaders who represent ¹û¶³Æƽâ°æ's popular academic/occupational programs or internal constituent groups.  The Alumni Engagement Council is comprised of seven highly-active ¹û¶³Æƽâ°æ alumni volunteers who each represent one of the seven pillars of focus of the Alumni Association (i.e. Alumni Outreach, ¹û¶³Æƽâ°æ Outreach, Half Century Development, History Makers Spotlight, Mentoring & Career Connections, Alumni Scholarships, and Student Outreach). Learn more about the ¹û¶³Æƽâ°æ alumni on your alumni councils.

Attending an alumni mixer

The ¹û¶³Æƽâ°æ Alumni Association (¹û¶³Æƽâ°æAA) hosts alumni mixers each semester. These mixers are a great opportunity to network with other alumni and a great way to provide input to the Alumni Association. Join us to connect with other alumni, and help the ¹û¶³Æƽâ°æAA! To learn more, contact alumni@phoenixcollege.edu or 602-285-7652.

Mentoring a student

You can make a positive impact on a student’s life by becoming a mentor. Be a Career Mentor or a Bear Scholarship Mentor.

  • Career Mentors sign up with the ¹û¶³Æƽâ°æAA under their career description. Students considering a major or career can then contact the Office of Alumni & Development or Career Services and request to contact an alumnus/a in a particular career field. Alumni can choose how and when they prefer to be contacted. Please contact the alumni coordinator at alumni@phoenixcollege.edu or 602-285-7652 to enroll.

  • As part of ¹û¶³Æƽâ°æAA’s Bear Scholarship Program, student recipients are matched with an alumni mentor. This is a formal mentoring relationship, which continues until the student graduates from ¹û¶³Æƽâ°æ. For a real-life example of this program, read the story of

Reviewing student scholarship applications

Reading student scholarship applications is a rewarding way to be connected to current ¹û¶³Æƽâ°æ students — and can be done from the comfort of your own computer. Our online scholarship management tool lets you easily review student scholarship applications using a provided grading rubric. Scholarship review occurs twice each year, in the fall and spring. Please contact the alumni coordinator at alumni@phoenixcollege.edu or 602-285-7652 to learn more.

Supporting student success by donating to scholarships

More than 84 percent of full-time ¹û¶³Æƽâ°æ students need financial aid to pursue their education. And students report that getting a scholarship validates their hard work and reassures them of their goals. Your gift supporting student scholarships is tax-deductible and helps develop the next generation of community leaders. Donations may be made securely online, or by phone at 602-285-7667.
